Clockwork is a time-clock app that logs work hours to a Google Sheet you choose. This page explains what data it collects, what it accesses in your Google account, and why.
When you create a Clockwork account, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password (never the password itself). We also store your clock-in/out timestamps, project names, and hourly rates you enter, so the app can show your history and compute totals.
When you connect a Google account, Clockwork requests permission to:
auth/spreadsheets) — used only to create/update the specific sheet(s) you link to a project: writing your logged hours, break time, earnings, and invoice totals, and creating a new sheet for you if you choose that option.auth/userinfo.email) — used only to show you which Google account is connected.Clockwork does not request access to Gmail, Drive files in general, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service. It only ever touches the individual spreadsheet(s) you explicitly connect to a project.
Your account data lives in a private database on our hosting provider. Google access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and are never exposed to your browser or any third party.
You can disconnect a Google account at any time from Settings — this immediately revokes Clockwork's access to it. To request full deletion of your Clockwork account and all associated data, email travis@clarkfivedesign.com.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of Clockwork after an update means you accept the revised policy.
